Voice over IP?  Hmmmm…

by on Jul.30, 2004, under General

Was reading the MLUG discussion list, and saw some discussion on Voice over IP. Essentially, it’s telephone service using a broadband connection. For those who have long distance, and pay a lot of money for long distance fees, this is a hell of a service. For home users, it’s $20 a month, UNLIMITED long distance. SO, no per minute fees to any place in the US or canada. Considering centurytel is charging 20 just for local service right now, I’m very very seriously considering this. If I do switch to this, I’ll let ya’ll know how it goes smile
