I’m giving into the chain post…

“If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don’t speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want–good or bad. When you’re finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.”

It was the weekend before the semester (I’m not sure if it was first or second semester) started in my sophomore year. It was me, you, Manda, Kristi, and Daniel. It was the first time I had met Tanya, and we were all hanging out at your apartment. We were listening to the RENT soundtrack, and with the exception of Manda, we were kind of acting it out. Much fun.

Many, many, many moons ago, I tagged along with you to McDonalds where you wanted to get a particular toy for your brother Patrick’s birthday or Christmas present.  I remember you were in a hurry b/c of something else you wanted to do that evening, but still you stood in line with the rest of the dinner crowd.  When we finally made it to the counter, they didn’t even have the specific toy you were looking for, but it was the thought that counted .

um…it was after church, the Burg was still smoldering, so we all went to IHOP…and I made fun of you cause you used a mac (but your treo was cool).

It was two or three minutes ago, and I suddenly wanted to ego-surf my own name. I still held most of the first page of Google results. However, since I last checked, a couple of holes had been punched by heretofore unknown eponymals. One scrappy young upstart had even clawed his way up to the number three spot. Impressive.

I remember we went to the zoo together, and we saw a bear and his carrot…
