Free Speech not permitted in this government?

by on Jan.30, 2006, under General

Yet another article that describes to me a major problem with the policies of this government. To summary, a scientist working for NASA received complaints and censorship attempts from public relations officer appointed by the administration for stating his opinion on greenhouse gases. ANY restriction on someone choosing to speak out their own personal views in this manner is unacceptable. The administration supporting such actions is illegal and inappropriate.

How many years to go till we can get rid of Bush? What will it take to get rid of the other incumbents who are trying to take away our fundamental rights???

Headline in the paper last week was about Bush budgeting 6.2 billion dollars for military….perhaps the troops oversees can get luxury items such as armour now (big, tired, worn, sad eye roll).

Brother R is back at sea.  Destination unknown, return date unknown…fun “carnival” cruise huh.  Hope your brother M is doing ok.

Don’t forget the “we the people” part of the government.  I guess now is the time to start looking toward the next presidental election…

*grin* That’s the thing – when you look at how much we spend on the military, it shouldn’t be too hard to outfit our troops SEMI decently.  *sigh* What’s worse, is that increasing the money on military probably won’t help our troops out that much.  And, while increasing the money spent on the military or “defense”, Bush is decreasing the money spent on healthcare and other major programs.  I love the priorities in this country….

Mike is back in the US, and probably will be out around Aprilish – looking forward to that, and not having to worry about him.  SO, good news there!

Definitely looking forward to ANY of the upcoming elections – hoping we get people in who care about the people of this country and not lining their own pockets or the pockets of their supporters… URGH.
